Bread is one of the favorite American food and there are so many varieties of the same. How many kinds of flours – that many pieces of bread. Here we have the recipe for a nice cornbread, which can also be a complete meal because of the addition of olives, ham, and cheese. It is very delicious, healthy and goes perfectly with yogurt.
Ingredients that you need for this recipe are the following:
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups (250 g) corn flour
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (230 ml) linseed oil
- 2 cups (450 ml) milk
- 1/3 oz. (10 g) baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 oz. (150 g) chopped olives (black and green)
- 5 oz. (150 g) chopped ham
- 6 oz. (180 g) cubed white cheese
At first, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Then mix the eggs and add flour, oil, milk, baking powder, and salt.
Mix again well, and add chopped olives, ham, and white cheese. Stir all, and pour into a baking tray (round, about 11 inches in diameter).
Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the cornbread gets nice golden yellow color. Cut the bread by your choice (slices, cubes…), serve and enjoy.
