Turkey sticks with avocado sauce – low carb meal

Turkey sticks with sesame cloak and avocado-yogurt sauce is low-carb meal. Although cooked in the oven, it is very juicy.

This recipe contains 2 serves and total cooking time is 35 minutes, plus marinating. Thereof, preparation time is 20 minutes, plus marinating and cooking time takes 15 minutes.

Low-carb turkey sticks with avocado sauce

How to make turkey sticks?

Ingredients that you need for sticks are 400 g turkey fillet, 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil and salt to taste. Then 1 teaspoon minced green pepper, a pinch of thyme, 100 g almond flour, 3 eggs and 150 g sesame.

Ingredients that you need for sauce are 1 avocado, 125 g neutral yoghurt and 2 garlic cloves. Then a few parsley leaves, chopped; 1-2 tablespoons lime juice, salt to taste and 1 teaspoon minced green pepper.


Cut turkey fillet into strips. Mix well salt, pepper, thyme and olive oil. Then unite turkey strips with the mixture and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

Put the flour in a bowl. In the second bowl whisk the eggs with a little salt. And in the third bowl place the sesame seeds. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (fan heating). At the bottom of a large pan put baking paper.

Stir the strips of meat a little bit more and dip them in the flour, eggs and sesame, by this order. Then place them in a pan with a little space between. Bake for about 15 minutes, until it gets a nice golden color. Do not bake too long because the meat may dry up, even when the oil makes it succulent.

When the cooking is nearly done, you should prepare the sauce: chop the parsley and garlic cloves and add it to the yogurt; then add lime juice and other spices and stir well; peel and slice the avocado, and mix everything together in a creamy mixture (using a blender).

Serve warm turkey sticks with avocado sauce, or you can live it to cool  – as you wish.
