Hot Buttered Rum: Warm Up the Morning in Bulletproof Style!

You’ve probably heard about “bulletproof” coffee, and have even tried it. Well, now we have something a bit stronger, but equally amazing – hot buttered rum.

If you don’t mind a few drops of alcohol now and then, feel free to try this great drink. With butter and MCT oil content, it will boost your energy and wake you up better than any breakfast. And rum will warm you up and prepare your body for daily activities.

But the best of all is the taste! Hot buttered rum is so delicious that your enjoyment will surprise you. This drink is high in healthy fat and has no carbs. So, even on a diet, you can treat yourself occasionally.

Hot Buttered Rum

The recipe makes 1 serving. Nutritional value: 379 Calories, 37 g Fat, 0 g Carbs, 0 g Protein.

Ingredients that you need:

  • 12 oz. boiling water
  • 1-2 tea bags Vanilla Chai Tea (Bigelow)
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. MCT oil
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • a pinch of fresh ground nutmeg
  • liquid Stevia to taste
  • 1 shot of Spiced Rum

Preparation:

Soak tea bags in a boiling water to desired strength.

Then pour brewed tea into a blender and add butter, MCT oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, liquid Stevia and a shot of spiced rum.

Blend very well, to make it nice and frothy.

Then pour into a hot mug, sprinkle on a bit of nutmeg (or cinnamon) to garnish.
