Delicious Keto Donuts You’ll Love! Just 1 g Net Carbs!

Great recipe for low-carb donuts! They are absolutely delicious. You can sweet them with your favorite sweetener or just leave them unsweetened. These donuts go perfectly with chocolate quark, but also with some salty spread. Personally, I like salty with Tzatziki and sweet with homemade cream of chocolate and hazelnuts.

The main ingredient is curd – a dairy product (kind of fresh cottage cheese). We have used coconut flour here, but you can add almond flour if liked. The special ingredient is brandy. It prevents the donuts to soak up too much grease but also gives an extraordinary taste.

Keto Donuts Recipe

The recipe makes 10 donuts. So, immediately make a double dose :)!

Nutritional value (total): 416 Calories, 20 g Fat, 10 g Carbs, 39 g Protein. It is 1 g Net Carbs per donut. Also, we didn’t take into account the amount of fat that will be absorbed by frying (1 tbsp. lard 13 g Fat and 116 Calories).

Ingredients that you need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 7 oz. (200 g) curd cheese
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • ½ tablespoon of Psyllium husk powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of brandy
  • lemon zest
  • Frying oil: lard or clarified butter

At first, mix the eggs and curd cheese. Then add the other ingredients and mix until the ball of the dough is formed.

Heat the fat in the pan.

Create balls of dough in your hand and place them into boiling fat and fry on medium-high heat.

After a few minutes, when the bottom side of donuts gets a nice color, turn them to the other side and fry for a few more minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Leave the dough at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator before baking (it will be less sticky).

The oil for frying must be hot (not overheated). The temperature should not exceed 170 °C (340°F). The ideal temperature is 160 °C (320 °F) – you’ll recognize it by the bubbles. Put in a maximum of 3 – 4 shapes for donuts, no more because the temperature of the oil will drop then.
