An interesting recipe for mixed salad of pears, walnuts and cheese is something you have to try. It has nice unusual taste which comes of combination of pears, greed leafy vegetables, and nuts. All that completed with cream, vinegar, and cheese.
A special contribution to the taste of the salad gives the Italian Gorgonzola cheese (moldy cheese). The spicy and aromatic taste of this cheese with a decent sweet note is often milder than its smell. Definitely worth of trying.
Mixed Salad of Pears, Walnuts and Cheese

Ingredients that you need:
- 5 oz. (150 g) cucumber
- 4 pears
- 2 tbsp. of crumbled Gorgonzola
- 3 tbsp. of chopped baked walnuts
- 2 tbsp. of sliced shallot or leaves of the spring onion
- 3 1/3 (100 g) of chopped arugula
- 5 oz. (150 g) of chopped red chicory
- 3 1/3 oz. (100 ml) cream
- 1 tbsp. of white wine vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- lettuce leaves for serving
Cut the cucumber longitudinally first and then into thin semicircles. Also, cut the pears, first on half and then clean the core and cut in the longitudinally.
In a small bowl, mix the pears with 2 tablespoons of cream. In the second bowl, mix the remaining cream, Gorgonzola, vinegar, salt and pepper. Then add shallot.
In a large bowl, mix the arugula, red chicory, and cucumbers.
Place the lettuce leaves on plates and put on them sliced pears and walnuts. Sprinkle with a salad sauce, and serve the rest separated. Enjoy!
