Tomato stuffed with chicken: Original and very tasty low-carb meal!

Tomatoes stuffed with chicken is considered a pretty simple and original food. You will no longer spend several hours preparing a large meal, because this dish is ready very quickly (30-40 minutes).

You can prepare stuffed tomatoes as a main dish or as an entree.

If you eat it like a cold meal, don’t have to worry about your figure, because in this case is low-calorie. Only 90 kcal per 100 g (3 oz.).

Recipe for Tomato stuffed with chicken

Ingredients that you need:

  • 10 tomatoes
  • 10 – 13 oz. (300 – 400 g) chicken fillets
  • 5 oz. (150 g) of hard cheese
  • mayonnaise (you can replace it with béchamel sauce if liked)
  • basil
  • salt and pepper to taste

At first, chop the fillets into small cubes (about ½ inch). Fry shortly in oil, and then add salt, pepper and dry basil. Also you can put your favorite spices in the mixture. Continue to fry until golden brown (about 10 minutes).

Take tomato, cut the top, and slowly, with teaspoon, remove the interior. Do it with all tomatoes.

Then fill tomatoes with steamed chicken.

On top put one tablespoon of mayonnaise and sprinkle grated cheese.

Preheat the oven at 250 degrees C (480 degrees F). Grease the baking tray or place baking paper, and then align tomatoes. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

As soon as the cheese is browned, the dish is ready.

When serving, you can decorate it with parsley. Enjoy this special meal!
