Release trapped nerve in the lumbar region (sciatica): 2 simple ways to get rid of the pain

Forget about pain caused by sciatica because you can release the trapped nerve in two simple ways.

When the inter-vertebral disc, due to protrusion, puts pressure on the nerve, there is a pain that extends down the leg. This condition is known as sciatica.

Sciatica refers to pain that occurs on the path of the sciatic nerve – which passes from the lower back through the hips and buttocks and runs down the each leg. Any distortion of the space where the nerve passes can result in strangulation. Lumbar pain spreading along the upper leg below the knee through a lower leg and / or the foot. Pain is strong, steady, in the form of burning, with numbness of the legs, making it difficult to move. Most often the pain is spreading in one leg, and is stronger than the pain in the lumbar region. The pain intensifies at night, after a prolonged standing, sitting, sneezing, coughing or straining.

Traditionally, treatment of sciatica implies using appropriate medication recommended by a doctor. But, it is better to not restrict treatment only to the use of painkillers.

If during the treatment you are doing simple exercises for stretching muscles in a short time you will forget about the pain.

Exercises that helps to release the pain

Stretching exercises can be of great benefit as they help calm the inflammation, and thereby alleviating pain. Of course, the scratch will not be easy because the exercises are performed slowly, increasing the stretch on the exhale.

Lie on a flat surface, bend the pained leg and gently pull it toward the shoulder. When you feel a stretch, try to keep the leg in that position for 30 seconds. Straighten the legs, rest a bit, and do this exercise two more times.

Again, in the lying position, bend your legs at the knees and slowly pull them toward the chest, never taking the buttocks off the floor. Cross your legs, as shown in the picture, and taking with hands healthy leg, drag it.

Keep your legs in this position for 30 seconds, leave them and return to the original position. You should do this exercise twice, also.

By performing these stretching exercises, you stimulate blood circulation, eliminating stagnation in the muscles, thus accelerating the recovery.
