Sonoma or Californian diet
Of course, as it is carrying this name, it’s logical that comes from California. American nutritionist Connie Guttersen has developed it. It was named after Sonoma – known Californian region that produces great tasting food. So in this diet provides adoption of healthy lifestyle through eating delicious meals.
The aim of this diet is that new mums return into their former pants as soon as possible, without too much sacrifice in nutrition. Regular intake of all substances that are necessary for them to breastfeed will transfer through the milk to their children; so that they grow and become stronger, and mums to lose weight.
This diet consists of 3 phases.
During the first phase of Sonoma diet, which lasts 10 days, you can lose up to 10 pounds. New mums must adhere to a specific list of foods that are allowed to consume, as well as a list of the foods that in no case should be consumed.
You should consume following foods: all kinds of vegetables; then protein, ranging from legumes over eggs, fish, to chicken, veal, turkey and young cheeses. Note that yogurt is not allowed to drink at this stage of the diet.
Furthermore you can drink water, natural non-carbonated, minimum 6 glasses a day, then green tea and 2 cups of black coffee. Of course, all these without sugar.
