It found wide application in cosmetics, phytotherapy diseases of the digestive system, hemorrhoids, gynecological and other diseases. But we use it the most commonly for skin diseases.
You can make ointment at a simple recipe from local ingredients, without the addition of any “chemistry”.
Recipe for homemade marigold ointment
For homemade marigold ointment, you need only 50 fresh marigold flowers and 5 tablespoons of homemade lard (that has to be washed). You can use any lard you have (pork, goose…)
Preparation: Put the lard in a bowl and cover with a little hot water. Then whisk it using electric mixer, and the rest water spill. Repeat this procedure several times until the lard is white all the way, so it looks like cream.
Put lard into pan and heat over low heat until is melted and heated to the boiling point. Rend marigold petals and mix them in hot lard until they wilt. Leave it until it is completely cool (best to spend the night). Re-warm, just to melt the mixture completely, strain through cheesecloth into a jar. When the ointment has cooled, seal the jars and store in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.
How to collect the flowers
