Healthy snacks: LCHF crackers

If you are fan of snacks and eating by the rules of LCHF diet, you have to try recipe for these crackers. Who said that snacks could not be healthy?

LCHF crackers are tasty and mostly made without eggs or with a few eggs. By using different spices, with every new preparation, LCHF crackers become completely different and new. So, you cannot get enough of them.

Ingredients for the recipe are a cup of coconut flour, 2-3 eggs and 1 tablespoon almond flour. For special taste usse a pinch of rosemary, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, salt to taste and a few tablespoons olive oil.

Preparation: At first of all, you must preheat the oven to 160 °C. Then mix together dry ingredients. After that, whisk two eggs and add to the mixture. Since, if two eggs are not enough to wet the entire amount of flour, whisk one more egg and add to the mixture. Mix the dough well, so you could easily form the wanted shapes. Unite the dough by adding slowly olive oil a spoonful after spoonful. When the dough is fully united and you got a solid mass, spread it evenly over baking paper. Cut the dough with a sharp knife into desired shapes and sizes.

Bake about 15 minutes or until the ends of the crackers become hard. Remove them out and separate each cracker using a knife. Finally, return to the oven and bake for another few minutes. Most attentions, you must to paid to baking.

Useful tips:

  • For crackers to get that special touch – after separation, you can grease them with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt or pepper or spice you liked. And whatever you choose, you will not do wrong.
  • Instead of rosemary great choice would be dill or curry or chili.
