Medical diet is intended for those who want to lose more weight – a pound daily. When we talk about medical diet, it is important to emphasize that there are ten mandatory rules. If you do not follow these rules, the diet will not be successful.

Medical diet: ten rules

  1. Diet lasts 14 days and after that period of time you should pause 14 days. If you need to lose more weight you can start again after the pause. During the pause take care of nutrition. Do not prepare food using refined oils, high-calorie foods and dietary additives and do not overdo it with the amount of food.
  2. During the diet, no deviation from the menu.
  3. Between the meals you may eat only celery and carrots in the amount you specify, according to your needs.
  4. For the preparation of meals you should not use oil, mayonnaise or similar high-calorie foods.
  5. Alcohol, sugary and fizzy drinks are prohibited, during the diet.
  6. Coffee, tea without sugar or sweeteners, dietetic fruit juices without sugar or sweeteners and water are allowed.
  7. During the preparation of meals use the meat with less fat content. E.g. if you use chicken, remove the skin.
  8. For recommended foods do not look for replacement.
  9. Try to eat all the foods intended for a meal, but you can cancel before that if you feel satiety.
  10. Do not apply diet longer than 14 days. If necessary, you can start again after the pause.

Medical diet: Menu by days – 7 days

Breakfast is the same for all 14 days and contains next foods:

  • 200 g baked fish or roast or boiled chicken meat
  • a slice of toasted whole grain bread
  • fresh juice of ¼ grapefruit and ½ orange
  • one fruit (no matter what, except banana)
  • cup of coffee or unsweetened tea

Monday

Suggestion for Lunch contains 200 g roasted or stewed meat (not recommended pork). Then one fresh tomato and after that cup of coffee or tea or fresh fruit juice, unsweetened. Dinner consists of 200 g baked fish; mixed vegetable salad (kind of vegetable and amount by choice); a slice of toasted whole grain bread. And then fresh grapefruit juice and cup of coffee or tea.

Tuesday

For Lunch eat fruit salad (kind of fruit and amount by choice) and cup of coffee or tea. Dinner contains one burger fried on non-sticky pan without oil. Then mixed one fresh tomato, few leaves of lettuce, ½ cucumber and one celery stick. After that drink cup of coffee or tea.

Wednesday

For Lunch eat one can of tuna, drained of oil, with squeezed lemon; then one fruit (any kind but banana) and cup of coffee or tea. Dinner consists of a well-done steak and mixed vegetable salad. After that, take one fruit (any kind but banana) and drink cup of coffee or tea.

Other half of week

Thursday

Lunch will consists of two eggs, boiled or baked without oil and a slice of low-fat cheese. With that take one tomato and steamed vegetables.  Afterwards drink cup of coffee or tea. For Dinner eat 200 g boiled chicken meat; mixed one tomato, one cucumber and few leaves of lettuce; a slice of toasted whole grain bread. Then drink cup of coffee or tea.

Friday

For Lunch you should eat boiled spinach (amount by choice); a slice of cheese (by choice); a slice of toasted whole grain bread. Afterwards drink cup of coffee or tea. For Dinner eat 200 g baked fish and a slice of toasted whole grain bread. With that take fresh or steamed vegetable (kind and amount by choice). Then drink cup of coffee or tea.

Saturday

For Lunch take fruit salad (kind of fruit and amount by choice) and cup of coffee or tea.  Dinner will cosists of 200 g roasted or boiled chicken or turkey meat; one tomato and a few leaves of lettuce. Afterwards drink cup of coffee or tea.

Sunday

For Lunch prepare 200 g roasted or boiled chicken or turkey meat; one tomato; 150 g boiled carrots and 150 g boiled cauliflower. As dessert take one fruit (any kind but banana). Then drink cup of coffee or tea. For Dinner eat one beef steak, grilled or fried without oil with mixed salad (tomato, cucumber, celery and lettuce). Afrerwards drink cup of coffee or tea.
