Recipe for this delicious Calzone with chicken and spinach is suitable for mums whose children are picky when it comes to food. This calzone is kind of closed pizza, which hides a wealth of taste with not a classic pizza stuffing and dough. Instead of pizza dough is used tortilla, because it is thin and you can easily fold it and get the shape of Calzone.
If you want to reduce a job and save time in arranging the mess after cooking – assemble and bake the tortilla on a piece of aluminum foil! So you will not soil baking sheet.
Quite simply, quickly prepared, leaving little dirty dishes and is very tasty!
Calzone with chicken and spinach

- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 onion
- 450 g chicken fillet
- 250 g of frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
- 200 g ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 4 teaspoons Parmesan cheese
- finally 6 pieces of tortilla (can be purchased ready-made)
At first of all, preheat oven to 200 C. Then cut white meat for a longer strips and season with salt and pepper. Put to the pan, add onion and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Drain thawed spinach and add to the pan and simmer another 3-4 minutes. Then season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool. Then, add ricotta cheese, garlic, parsley and Parmesan to the pan. Stir until the ingredients are combined.
In a small bowl mix a tablespoon of buckwheat flour with a little water to get a thick mixture. Then apply a mixture of flour on the edge of tortillas. In the middle of each tortilla put 1/6 mixture from the pan. Fold the tortilla in half over the mixture. Press the edges with a fork to close tortilla and form calzone.
Finally, place Calzone on greased baking sheet or aluminum foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes in the oven.
